CANCELLATION POLICY: Reservations must be cancelled 2 days in advance of your arrival date. In the event of a no show or a cancellation in breach of this policy, the cost of the entire reservation will be charged.

The cancellation policy may vary per room type; please check the room description as well.
COMMENTS: A credit card is required as a guarantee. If the booking is not cancelled outside of the cancellation notice period, your credit card will be charged with the full amount of the booking.

Children sharing a room with 2 daults will be charged from GBP15- GBP25 per child per night. This rate includes breakfast.

Pet charges are GBP 15.00 per dog per stay.
CHILD POLICY: Children older than 16 year are considered adult for room occupancy. Children no older than 14 year can stay for free.

Today, visitors can explore the walks and fells of Grasmere, rich in wildlife, flora and fauna or visit local stately homes, museums, parks and gardens or the World of Beatrix Potter. The Red Lion's lounge bar and conservatory (for snacks or tea) are welcoming whilst the Courtyard Restaurant will tickle your taste buds with traditional English cuisine. All 47 bedrooms have recently been refurbished to the highest standard, with warm colour schemes and coordinating soft furnishings. All rooms have en-suite facilities with bath and shower, and many with the added luxury of a jacuzzi bath. Other facilities include television with satellite channels, a welcome refreshment tray, direct dial telephone with modem facility, hairdrier and trouser press. Club Rooms are available on request. The Lilliputs Leisure Centre features a new indoor heated swimming pool alongside a sauna, steam room and fitness room. If you are looking for outdoor exercise, then we can book you into one of two picturesque 18-hole golf courses, each within 10 miles of us. The hotel also has fishing permits for the local association waters, which may be borrowed from reception. Open all year.

By Car
-From the North. M6 to Penrithjunction 40, head west on the a66 to the turning for St Johns in the Vale to join the a591 and continue South For Grasmere, take the first turning into Grasmere village and the Hotel is in the centre of the village.

- From the South. m6 to junction 36 then follow the a591 trough Windermere and Ambleside arriving at Grasmere take the first turning off the mini roundabout into Grasmere village. The Red Lion is in the centre of the Village
