Most colleges are within walking distance, but Magdalen, Merton and Queen's Colleges are all neighbours. The 63 bedrooms offer all the comforts you would expect, with wireless, modem access points and tea/coffee making facilities in all rooms. A proportion of bedrooms are suitable for families, with sofa beds which pull down to create a third bed. Cots and baby facilities can be provided - please ask at the time of booking. Oxford students have taken to the hotel's facilities. The lively Merton's bar is situated on the ground floor of the hotel, which offers coffee and drinks from 5am to 2am daily (Mon -Sat), and Sun 5am - midnight. Our hotel also caters for private dining functions up to 60, including wedding receptions and anniversaries. Car parking is on offer at the hotel, the fee is 12.50 pounds for 24 hours, for residents. Parking must be pre-booked. There is no lift at this hotel.

The Eastgate Hotel was originally a 17th Century Oxford coaching inn that has been renovated over recent years. Centrally located just off the High in Oxford, providing an excellent base to explore the historical city.

Directions/Transport

From The North: Take the m40 and then the second Oxford exits 8a. Follow the a40 Oxford until you come to a roundabout, at which you need to take the second exit signposted Headington and city centre. Follow this road through until you come to a small roundabout called the Plain. Take the exit signed city centre, ignoring the no through traffic sign. Go over Magdalen Bridge, keeping in the left handed lane, straight ahead at the traffic lights, and then take the first left-handed turn into Merton Street. The entrance to the hotel and Car Park are directly to the left on Merton Street.
