The house's historic character - it dates from the 17th Century and was a rectory in Victorian times - has been magnificently preserved. In addition to the antiques, there are beautifully restored Edwardian bathrooms, original brasswork, open fireplaces, ornate mouldings and outstanding mahogany and oak panelling. Once referred to by the Egon Ronay Guide as 'The definitive country house hotel for South Wales'. A small luxury hotel which boasts a wealth of fine antiques, porcelain and paintings.

Directions/Transport
From junc 33 of the M4 follow the signs carefully to the airport, by-passing Barry. Turn left at the small roundabout by the airport, signposted Porthkerry, and after 50 yards turn left at the hotel sign, down the lane between the thatched farm cottages.
